Day 1 Weight Loss: Weight Loss Plan Improvements – The challenging part of my weight loss plan is exercising so I will need weight loss plan improvement in my exercises. I had difficulty because I don’t have full range of motion in my left ankle. I broke it in 2004 and had two surgeries on it. After falling in Frankfort, Kentucky, my right knee still has some swelling and sensitivity to touch so kneeling is painful. I will need to modify my exercise plan and find something that I can do now with these limitations and build up to more difficult ones over time. Wherever I need to improve my plan, I will tailor it to fit my needs so I will experiment with a variety of exercises until I find a good fit. I will let you know tomorrow if I find exercises that will work for me.
Eating healthy food today was really the best part of my day. I started my day with a smoothie; blueberries, banana, cherries and coconut milk. For lunch we had turkey burgers mixed with fresh garlic, onions, fresh basil and oregano, grilled on the stove. To go with it, I made a kale salad with tomatoes, onion, cucumber and avocado and fresh mint. It was delicious! We ended the evening with a big salad so far so good for Day 1. Weight loss plan improvements will include changes to healthy eating as needed too.
I exercised tonight too. I found that although there are exercises that I can do with the bands, there are a few that I can’t do yet. I was able to do the arm exercises fairly easily and the leg exercises too, but lying down and doing lunges were harder for me. After breaking my ankle, and losing full range of motion, I have difficulty with balance. My right knee presents a challenge so it’s hard to kneel on the floor and get up so lying down is a challenge. I need to do more research on YouTube to find exercises that I can do without losing momentum because of these limitations. I need to improve my weight loss plan by including more than one exercise video to avoid boredom of using only one video. Below is the YouTube video I followed tonight for my exercise plan. I want to take my time on this journey as I didn’t gain weight overnight; it took time so I anticipate taking my time in the spiritual process to arrive at my destination.
